FRITZ.Box Login

FRITZ!Box serves as the user interface for FRITZ!Box routers, enabling you to log in and modify settings, including your WiFi password, SSID, and other default configurations. You can access this interface through either http://192.168.178.1 or http://fritz.box. Here’s a simple guide on how to log in to your FRITZ!Box:

FRITZ.Box Login

192.168.178.1 Login

  1. Open a web browser and enter either http://fritz.box or http://192.168.178.1 into the address bar.
  2. Input your FRITZ!Box password, which you can find on the sticker located on the back of your router.
  3. Click “Log In,” and you’ll gain access to the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Changing Your FRITZ!Box WiFi Password:

  1. Log in to the FRITZ!Box user interface at http://fritz.box.
  2. In the menu, navigate to “Wireless” and select “Security.”
  3. Choose WPA encryption for the highest security level and set the WPA mode to WPA2 (CCMP).
  4. Enter your new WiFi password in the “Network key” field.
  5. Click “Apply” to save your changes.

Customizing Your FRITZ!Box Network Name (SSID):

  1. Log in to the FRITZ!Box user interface at http://fritz.box.

  3. Input your desired name for the wireless radio network (SSID) in the provided field.
  4. Click “Apply” to save your changes.

Please note: If the provided IP address doesn’t work for any reason, you can use the emergency IP address http://169.254.1.1 to access the FRITZ!Box user interface. Always make sure to enter the complete address http://fritz.box in the browser’s address bar. If you omit the “http://,” your browser might initiate a web search rather than opening the user interface. Ensure you accurately type the IP address, as users often mistakenly enter 192.168.l78.1, which is an invalid IP address containing a letter instead of a numerical digit.
