How to Access Dlinkap.local?

To access the D-Link Range Extender’s admin interface, follow these steps:

  1. Power on the Wi-Fi Range Extender and connect your PC to the Extender’s Wi-Fi Network.
  2. Open a web browser and type either “http://dlinkap.local” or “192.168.0.50,” then press “Enter.”
  3. The login webpage will appear.
  4. Enter the default username “admin” (there is no password) and press the “Log In” button.
  5. You are now successfully logged in.

How to Set up Dlinkap.local?

If you’re configuring the extender for the first time, the Setup Wizard will appear. Follow these steps to set up the D-Link WiFi extender:

  1. Once logged in, the setup window will appear, prompting you to connect to your existing Wi-Fi network.
  2. Select your existing Wi-Fi Network from the list and enter its password to connect.
  3. Once your D-Link Range Extender is connected to your existing Wi-Fi Network, you’ll be asked to enter the Wi-Fi Network Name and Password for the new network.
  4. Enter the new Wi-Fi SSID and Password, and click the “Next” button.
  5. For added security, you’ll be prompted to enter the admin password.

Forgotten Range Extender Password?

If you’ve forgotten the Wi-Fi Password or login password of the D-Link Range Extender, you can easily reset the extender, which will revert all settings to factory defaults. Follow these steps:

  1. While the range extender is powered on, locate the Reset button at the back of the device.
  2. Using a needle or paper clip, press and hold the button for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Release the button when the LED lights start blinking.
  4. The D-Link Range Extender will reboot. After it turns on again, all settings will be reset to factory defaults, including the changed password. You can then set up the Range Extender again.
