How to Set Up Your Linksys Extender:

1. Begin by plugging the Linksys Extender into a power source and ensure that the LED indicator is blinking.
2. Connect your computer to the “Linksys Extender Setup – XXX” network.
3. Once connected, open a web browser and type “http://extender.linksys.com” into the address bar. This will take you to the Linksys Extender Setup page.
4. On the setup page, select your preferred settings by marking the appropriate checkboxes. Then, click on the “Start Setup” button.
5. Next, choose whether you want to set up the extender as a “wireless range extender” or a “wired range extender (Access Point).” For most cases, select “As a wireless range extender.”
6. Click “Next” and choose the wireless network you wish to extend from the list.
7. Enter the network password and click “Next.” The extender will now connect to the chosen network. If you’re extending a dual-band network, you’ll need to enter the Wi-Fi password for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
8. Set up your extended wireless network by entering your preferred Network Name, Security Mode, and Password. Once you’ve done this for both networks, click “Next.”
9. The Linksys SpotFinder technology will help you find the ideal location for maximum coverage. Click “Next” to proceed.
10. For added security, create an admin password, which you’ll use to access and modify your extender’s settings in the future.
11. Enter the admin password and click “Save.”
12. Your extender is now set up. You can connect your Wi-Fi devices to the extended network you just created for improved wireless coverage.
